I
am an Equity trader in Cantor’s London office.
I am an American but I have lived over here since 1985. I joined Cantor in Sept 1999 after 17 years
at Jefferies & Co.
Shortly
after I arrived a t Cantor I realized that, system-wise, we were a
disaster. Then, some time later, Andy
Kates and Rich Lee arrived to help ITD. It was like the cavalry arrived.
Rich was the hardest and longest working person I have ever
known. Rich could listen to a problem,
calculate a solution and follow through to completion, 100 out of 100
times. He was the best.
He
used to come over and leave our business talk till late in the UK day. We spent 20 minutes on business and then we
had a half hour to talk about his son, you, my kids, London etc. There was so much more to him than
business. He was a smart, creative
gentle man and I miss him.
I’m
really writing to day to tell you that you and your family are still in my
