Dear Karen:

I am honored to be asked to write something about Rich for the website. He

is sorely missed here.

Rich made such a great contribution to our group. It is hard to describe all

he did.  Rich did the work of at least three people. He was quick to

synthesize information and formulate solutions. He saw ways to improve what

we had and move our technology to a new level.  He epitomized the "can do"

attitude that was core to the Equities team. Rich embraced every challenge.

Under Rich's leadership the ITD Technology team made it possible for the

business to run like a machine. He was well respected by his peers, his staff, and

the brokers. He was a great technology guru, a manager, a colleague and an

enthusiastic partner in the business. Finding him was a once in a lifetime

opportunity for us. We miss him.
