Remembrances and Anecdotes about Rich :
First of all, Rich was such an upbeat and
positive person. He always exuded an air of confidence. If there was a problem,
he could figure out the solution.
Secondly, he was brilliant. He could figure
out the solutions to problems because he was smart. His mind was more complex
and intricate than the precious computers he worked on.
Thirdly, he had a great disposition. He was committed to service. I would call with some work related emergency, and he would answer the home phone during a family dinner or at 2:30 AM and still be pleasant and helpful.
I was so happy when Phil Waterman lured him
away from Zai*Net over to Smith Barney. Phil knew talent. Rich was a tremendous
asset to Smith Barney and helped to establish the FX Department in its infancy
and keep it running successfully.
To say he was a nice guy is an understatement.
To say he was helpful is an understatement.
Rich was a big lovable guy with a big heart, a
great smile. The kind of guy women desire and men admire. I can’t say much more except I’m so sad Rich
was taken from us.
My Best Regards,
Larry Dalven
